Pamela
J. Brinkley, CPA, CFP®, PFS is a shareholder of Thomas, Knight,
Trent, King and Company. She is a 1974 graduate of Duke University and
attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for further
studies in accounting. She received her CPA certification in 1980 and
was licensed as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) in 2001. She
was also awarded Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation by
the AICPA.
Pam joined the firm in 1990 after working with an international
accounting firm and became a shareholder in 1995. Her many years of
experience are primarily in the area of tax consulting, planning and
preparation services to individuals, closely held companies,
contractors, developers, wholesalers, retailers, and personal
financial planning.
Pam
is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
(AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants
(NCACPA),
where she has served on committees, as a member of the board of
directors of NCACPA, and as chairperson of the Related Professionals Tax
Force. Pam holds seminars for individuals, local business groups and
institutions on a variety of tax related topics. She is active in local
educational and financial planning organizations, where she has served
as an officer or committee member, and is an officer with the Kiwanis
Club of Durham, Inc. She and her husband, Carl Forsyth, reside in
Durham, North Carolina with their two sons.
