Daniel H. Craig, CPA, CFP™, PFS, is a shareholder of Thomas, Knight, Trent, King and
Company and serves as managing shareholder of the firm's Roxboro, North Carolina office. He
graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1977 with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Business Administration. He received his CPA certification in 1980 and
was licensed as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP™) in 2000. He was also
recently awarded Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation by the AICPA.
Dan joined the firm in 1984 after working with a local accounting
firm in Greensboro, North Carolina and serving as assistant controller for a manufacturing
firm in Wake Forest. He became a shareholder in 1988. Dan works in many family owned
companies providing business and tax consulting services. He is experienced in business
valuations, tax and estate planning, and management succession planning. His background
also includes an in-depth understanding of services for retailers, wholesalers,
contractors/developers, auto dealerships, personal financial planning, and audits of
governmental and non-profit organizations.
Dan is a member of
the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the North Carolina
Association of Certified Public Accountants. Dan is actively involved in the community
serving as treasurer of the Person County United Way. He is a past president and lifetime
member of the Roxboro Jaycees and has also served on the board of directors of the Roxboro
Chamber of Commerce. Dan resides in Roxboro with his wife, Samantha, and their two
children.
