John H. Wagstaff, CPA is a shareholder of Thomas, Knight, Trent, King and Company. John will be dividing his time between the firm's Roxboro and Durham offices. He graduated from Wake Forest University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He received his CPA certification in 1980.

John joined the firm in 2010 after having owned and operated a CPA practice in Roxboro, N.C. since 1984, where he provided tax and consulting services to family owned businesses and individuals. He has worked extensively in the areas of real estate, farming, and taxation and estate planning.

John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA). Since 1997 he has served as Treasurer of the Board of Person County Memorial Hospital, making it his mission to provide the citizens of Person and surrounding counties access to quality and affordable health care and services. He and his wife, Jane, divide their time between Roxboro and Durham, North Carolina with their son.
